About This GameThe Game:
Here is a sandbox like no other. Create massive battles with absolutely no limits. Want to see 10,000 chickens fight an army of Romans?? Sure, why not. Want to see a company of WW2 U.S soldiers fight 11,000 Medieval soldiers?? There are simply no limits to the carnage you can achieve in Epic Battle Simulator. Mess around with a massive variety of units. Everything from, Roman Centurions, Medieval soldiers, Knights, Orcs, Trolls, and yes, chickens! The main focus in this game is giving the player no restrictions to what he can do. That is why we decided not to limit the amount of units in battle. Want to see what a battle of 100,000 units looks like? We don’t recommend going past 10,000 for most machines but its your CPU, do what you want! On top of that, you can play as any one of the units in the game, getting up close and personal to help change the tides of a massive battle, while rallying teammates and giving them orders!
Unfortunately there really aren’t many engines that you can chuck 10,000 characters in and expect good performance. This is why I worked months on end to create the most powerful crowd rendering system ever conceived in Unity engine. The detail of each character has little effect on performance while each individual acts independently, but is working towards a greater good for his team. Each individual decides his own path and navigates complex environments. But I didn’t stop there! With the large open environments, I needed a more dynamic lighting solution than the one built in to Unity engine. So I built my own dynamic global illumination lighting engine. This enables bounce light completely in real time. What does that mean? That means every piece of shiny armor is reflecting it’s true surroundings, every bright surfaces illuminates it’s surroundings and effects the overall lighting.

There’s a 90% chance you are considering to buy this game because your favourite YouTuber/streamer/friend showcased it, and it looked really cool. I can tell you one thing: it IS really cool.
Then what’s the downside? The problem is that it is fun to watch, but not so fun to play. You’re having a few battles of NPCs against each other, but soon all you’re doing is looking for those cinematic angles, and trying to participate in the war – which often doesn’t work out the way you want to.
Don’t see this as a hating message – but as a word of advice. I admire the efficiency of this game, given its ridiculous amount of objects and I hope the developers will use their skills to make more games like these!

Cons: – … for about an hour.
The thing is, as everybody else had been saying, it’s just so boring. On top of that, the Ai is very simple. All they do is either stay in place, or blindly charge in a strait line tword the enemy, attacking whoever’s closest. I know this was done to keep the frame rates higher, and it gets the job done perfectly fine, but it makes basically every fiight virtually the same.
You can use the in game character controller to try and add some strategy to the fight, but it requiring you to control an actually unit who still has collisions and can only select a few people at once and can only see at eye level and can’t move quickly a– …you get the picture.
Unfortunatly, Total War: Atilla filled the void Ultamite Epic Battle Simulator could not. The Ai is better, the combat is better, the mechanics are better, the visulals are better. But of course, this is coming from a profetional game studio that has been making these type of games for almost two decades.
Again, gotta give credit to the developor for making a fun, well made game.
In short, if you want to buy this game hoping for many, many hours of fun, don;t expect to have fun for very long, it gets old quite quick.
Pretty impressive to see all that action on screen at once, but after a few battles you just want to crack on with something else.
If you have spare money, and don’t mind spending it for a quick thrill then go for it, if you want something with depth or longevity then pass by.

Edit: It now has workshop support, good job bois we did it. Now they need to work on optimization and other QoL updates to make this game actually playable, its fun for about an hour after that it tends to get stale. Im still giving this a postive review but I wouldnt recommend it just yet, it has a lot of stuff to work out. Biggest thing they need to work on imo is optimization, if you have a tone of units on screen it lags♥♥♥♥♥ Maybe even add scenarios?
